Backstory
I wanted to create a beautiful, fun Christmas song. Finding a fresh theme in a field as saturated as Christmas music was a challenge, but then I realized: I make music for dancing, and I wanted to make a Christmas song. “Christmas Was Made for Dancing” came to mind, and I locked it in immediately. I still think it is perfect—10/10.
From there, I set out to make it feel unmistakably Christmasy. I included the warmth and familiar details of Christmas in the home of a couple sharing a romantic dance. I also loved the idea that they would be listening to the very song being sung about them, so the song references itself.
I went through many revisions and spent a great deal of time making it the best it could be. I believe I achieved exactly what I set out to create: a beautiful, fun Christmas song made for dancing. I hope you enjoy it.
