Backstory
“Trouble on the Dance Floor” was inspired by dancing with one particular woman at The Westerner. One night, I told her she was “trouble.” When I got home, I began thinking about how to develop that idea into a song: a provocative woman on the dance floor, with a title that said exactly what she was—“Trouble on the Dance Floor.”
It took a few weeks to get all the lyrics nailed down, a few more to polish them, and several months to find the tune that truly fit the song and finish the final production. I love where it landed. I think it is a very fun, beautiful country dance song.
