My Lead, Her Step

Lyrics

[Verse 1] Cute lil redhead standing alone I asked, “Wanna dance this one?” She said, “I’ll pass, thanks for asking.” I smiled and winked, “Ain’t no thing” One damn fine-looking woman With a sexy dare in her glance Reached out and took my hand “Cowboy, wanna dance?” [Chorus] We hit the floor, I sent her spinning And gave her space to do her thing She found me on the beat again One step hers, one step mine MY LEAD! HER STEP! [Verse 2] There she was — damn, I wanted her Cut the crowd, gave her my hand “Wanna dance this one?” She winked and smiled, “Hell yeah.” She caught me watching on the first turn Next spin, her hip brushed mine Her fingertips slid slow down my arm I missed the beat — she grinned, “You alright?” [Verse 3] Back with the guys, catching my breath One said, “Y’all were smoking that floor.” I laughed, “She hit me like lightning.” A few songs and I wanted more Miss Fire came sauntering my way “Recovered from that touch of mine?” I grinned, “That was just floor play.” She hooked my belt loop — “Then lead me.” [Chorus] We hit the floor, I sent her spinning And gave her space to do her thing She found me on the beat again One step hers, one step mine MY LEAD! HER STEP! [Verse 4] When the music stopped She pulled me in close I gave her my phone She said, “Your move, cowboy” I led her out, she pulled me in And now the real dance begins [Finale] MADE MY MOVE! SHE MADE HERS! MY LEAD! HER STEP!
